Peter Parker
UN: ohnomorespiders
STATUS: Student (Sophomore-ish)

ACCOLADES: Are we seriously supposed to post our own? Isn't that kind of weird? I don't think anyone actually cares about getting an award in chemistry at a school like this.

BIO: Hey, um. I'm Peter Parker. Nice to meet you? Oh man I'm bad at profiles that don't involve, like, tumblr gifs or movie quotes. The coolest thing I've done recently is like. Smuggle in a Lego kit. (It's pretty awesome at least??)

"Hey, this is Peter. Leave me a message and I'll get right back to you."

[ Boo, no fun. But Kano lets the flames die down and disappear, hugging his jacket a little closer to himself as if wishing the heat were just a little bit real. ]

Alright, alright~ Do you another idea? We could always go old school and toss pebbles up at her window.

[ They could go for a disguise, or he could hide them somehow. ]

Not true invisibility, but something like it~ I can make it look like we're a pair of overgrown bushes, or a dumpster, or whatever it takes to meld into the scenery!

[ Effectively, his illusions only work on himself and the space around him, and they have to turn into something, but that something can easily be large enough to hide the two of them. ]

Bushes it is~ Let's get going~

[ Kano makes sure the hood of his jacket is securely over his head as not to give himself away- it's won't do to enact the bushes here, and have somebody spot a pair of bushes scuttling across campus, so he'll take care of hiding once they're outside Imelda's window. ]

Keep an eye out for pebbles on the way there, alright? How's your throwing arm?

We need to form a baseball team someday... But alright~! Just leave it to me!!

[ He goes ahead and pries open Peter's window, because apparently this is his front door and the hallway one is his back door. But once he's out, he mimes zipping his lips: voices and heads down, until they're in position, pockets a handful of pebbles, and sets up the illusion. ]

[ as long as Imelda doesn't get suspicious of two innocent looking bushes on the ground, it should be fine. The first pebble Kano throws flies a bit off course, hitting the window next door. Whether this is out of spite for Maverick or just a mistake, who knows. But he's able to correct his aim for the next shot, hitting Imelda's window dead on, and Kano holds his breath and keeps still to see if that wakes her up or if he'll need to throw another. ]

[Not long after the rock hits the window, the light flicks on in Imelda's room. Her approach to the window is cautious--and a little confused when she sees the bundle sitting on her window sill. Carefully, she opens the window and slides up the screen to pick the basket up. That too gets a suspicious look, which she then turns to the outside--looking down to the ground, and then to either side, and then up. There's no one in particular that she can see... Her mysterious gift-giver is either invisible or gone.

She sets the basket on a flat surface just inside her window, closing everything up against the cold night air. Pepita hops up on the sill, and the boys might see her say something to the cat with a wry smile.

She reaches first for the most distinguishable objects--two rectangular-looking objects. The first one she opens is... a book? The Monk in the Garden. She turns it over in her hand to read the back, and her brow furrows a little. Huh. Not exactly her usual style, but she's not going to say no to a book.

That gets set aside, and the next thing she unwraps is a whiteboard--which actually gets a small smile out of her. Can the boys even see it? Who knows. But this is actually a rather useful gift, and she can appreciate it's functionality. That too gets set aside with the book.

Then she looks at the rest of the non-descript objects in the basket and starts going through them at random...]

[ Kano grins back, because he definitely caught that smile. Like. On his phone, zoomed in 10x so that it's kind of blurry, but if you squint really hard you can sort of see it. He steadies his phone on his knees so he can capture the rest of the gift unwrapping.

Kano's gifts are wrapped up in five separate aluminum balls, carefully thought out and selected:

The first contains a thin silver key, badly scuffed on both side but containing no other markings or identifying numbers or letters.

The second, a singular rubber duck, bright yellow and which squeaks loudly when squeezed, wheezing a little when you let go and let it fill back up with air.

In the third, a tiny whistle, which if Imelda is brave enough to blow into it, seems to make no sound.

The fourth, a thin stack of postcard sized photos, of which includes a photo of the photo in Minako's room, of a much much younger Minako, Ellie, and Kano; a photo of the photo in Maverick's room, of a "young boy with wild red curls and missing teeth smiling shyly at the camera with a black woman that looks barely older than Maverick" taken at a parade; and several high quality printouts of photos of Prompto and his friends on their travels around the world. He has no idea who those other people are, but that doesn't matter.

When Imelda unwraps the fifth ball of aluminum foil, a handful of rainbow glitter spills out all over her legs and ground and will take several weeks to fully vacuum up. ]

[Imelda unwraps the balls of aluminum one by one, interspaced with some of the figurines that Peter had also wrapped. The key, she turns over in her hands a few times. Her brow furrows in confusion--if only because she doesn't know what it's for. Maybe one of the other things that's wrapped? She sets it aside for now with the other things. The rubber duck comes next, and that confuses her even more. This is obviously some kind of... gift? Who would give her a rubber duck??? It makes no sense. She shakes her head a little and sets the duck aside. The whistle is... at least not as strange as a rubber duck. But like the key, she has no idea what this is for--or what it might call if she blows into it. Not to mention it's the middle of the night. Perhaps she'll give it a try later.

With her expectations set from the other three strangely shaped gifts, Imelda is prepared for another strange item when she opens the fourth one. So her reaction is rather priceless when she sees the stack of photos. Her mouth falls open just a little as she inhales, her eyes caught on the faces of the children from her hall--but as actual children, not rambunctous teenagers. She flips through the stack of them, lingering more on the children she knows. These are... far more touching than she expected them to be, and she's a little floored by that. She goes to the window, pictures still in hand to look out and around the area. She still doesn't see anything, but her expression looks less suspicious this time and more concerned. She might have a small idea of who sent this--or at least a slightly smaller list to consider.

The pictures of the children she's familiar with are sorted to the top of the stack, and then the whole thing is set with the other gifts. She'll have to find all of this stuff a home at some point... But for now, she'll finish unwrapping the last thing left in the basket. As she does, glitter rains down--and she freezes immediately. Her eyes close and she leans her head back, heaving a sigh. Her expression is caught somewhere between annoyance, amusement, and resignation. Carefully, she carries the rest of the alluminum foil away from the window and presumably to a trash can. Although... she's gone for more than just a few seconds. When she returns to the window, the aluminum foil is gone and in her hand is an envelope. She opens the window again and tapes it to the outside, then shuts the window. A second later, she pulls the curtains shut over her windows, blocking anything further from view.]

[ He's too busy laughing to answer Peter right away, crouched low near the ground so he can smother his laughter in his arms because he might be able to conceal the two of them from sight, but somebody can still hear them.

It takes him a bit to calm down, just a few more seconds. ]

Everybody likes glitter! I couldn't pass up a chance like that! But did you see how she looked for the other stuff? That was great! I'm really glad we did this~! It looks like she wrote something back too! Think you can get it without being seen or heard?

[ It was a really good idea, and he's honestly really glad for it. ]

Oh, easy~ Go ahead and open it!!

[ While he stands a good two paces back, just in case Imelda stuffed some crickets or a handful of glitter inside, as if anybody on campus would think to do that but himself. ]

[Inside the envelope is a very carefully folded piece of paper... Carefully folded because as soon as it's unfolded, the remainder of the glitter from her gift drops out. On the paper, a message is written in neat, looping hand-writing.]

Thank you for the gifts. And the "gift". It was a blessing that deserved to be shared.

In the future, I have a door that things can be left at. Leaving things out here is dangerous.

PS, It's a school night. Go to bed.

pft- pwah-- hahahaHAHAHAHAHA!

[ She did it. She actually glitterbombed them— Peter, mostly, with Kano inching away even further in case of the wind. Even without Peter reading the contents of the letter out loud, a return glitterbomb can only mean she's in good enough spirits that she doesn't just make the paper explode in their hands. ]

Great! That was great! I hope you've got another change of clothes, or she'll know exactly who sent the gift basket!

[ As if she hasn't already guessed, with the number of people in the school who has direct access to people's windows. ]

[ Because that's his life. ]

Because I would've done the exact same thing~ It's a precaution, a precaution! Letters are dangerous, you know! You've always got to be careful with them!
