STATUS: Student (Sophomore-ish)
ACCOLADES: Are we seriously supposed to post our own? Isn't that kind of weird? I don't think anyone actually cares about getting an award in chemistry at a school like this.
BIO: Hey, um. I'm Peter Parker. Nice to meet you? Oh man I'm bad at profiles that don't involve, like, tumblr gifs or movie quotes. The coolest thing I've done recently is like. Smuggle in a Lego kit. (It's pretty awesome at least??)
"Hey, this is Peter. Leave me a message and I'll get right back to you."

What, really? Is it like Maya's ability?

[She smiles, and reaches for another donut.]
That's my true Flame. Everyone else just thinks it's the healing part of the Shun Shun Rikka.

[ Here, he's got his notebook open to his healing notes. Basic bruise removal spells... ]

[She smiles and shoves her worries aside. It could be anything, really. Ghosts have been popping up all over. It might even be Ginshu stalking her for all she knows, so she shouldn't automatically assume the worst.]
Do you have a Flame? Or is everything the result of the Blight spider?
no subject
You know what, I don't actually know. I never had any signs of anything until the spider bit me. And it was definitely Blighted. I got sick for a week and nearly died.

[ He's gonna try the very first level of bruise healing here! Just a few precise hand gestures, and placing a hand back on the wounded spot ...
Nothing. ]

[She quiets to let him concentrate, watching his movements, wincing when he touches her leg. She feels the warmth from his palm, but little else.]
Maybe it's too big. Do you want to try it on a smaller one?
no subject
It should have done something. But if you think a smaller bruise will work...
no subject
[She sets the half-eaten donut aside and rolls up her sleeve. There are more bruises there, both from the car and the stairs, but none as hideous as the one that mars her leg.]
no subject
[ He gives her another worried look - these don't look that much smaller, jeez - but he makes the same motions and then lays his hands on her. This time, there's almost a spark? A faint, faint flicker of power trying to shine through. But it's dim, almost like it's shining through a filthy window.
Anyway, that bruise ain't going anywhere. ]
no subject
[It wasn't due to emotions or desperation, it was because she'd described the sensation a little. Is that it?]
In my beginner's class we're learning to transfer our power into an orb that makes a bubble around the user if it's done correctly. Maybe I could transfer my power to you, so you know what it really feels like. Once you're more familiar with it, it might be easier to control!

[ It's not the first time he's felt it - he can sort of put it into runes, which work better because he can dump the radiance away from him - but definitely one of the few times he's actually gotten close to casting something with his own body. Maybe she's onto something. ]
Seriously? That won't hurt you, right?

[She reaches out for his hand and holds it in both of hers. Closing her eyes, she tips her head forward and focuses on summoning the power of her soul. It's no different than when she reaches to the Shun Shun Rikka, and she's able to call it up easily. Then she wills her power to flow through her hands and into Peter's, a soft and steady trickle of energy that's bright and warm.]
Do you feel it?
no subject
He nods after a moment. ]
Yeah. You're really bright.
no subject
[She can't pretend she isn't flattered by his words, though. It's nice to think that her soul feels pleasant.]
Think about that power gathering in your hands. That's the main point where magic usually flows. Then think about the spell and what you want it to do, and imagine that change taking effect. The easier it is to picture in your mind, the better the results. Willpower is tied closely to belief.

[ He makes the gesture one more time. This time, there's a tell tale flicker as his hands light up. Gently, gently, he places his hands along her bruises, smoothing his fingers over the darkened spots to soothe them away. ]
no subject
[She looks up at him, bursting with pride.]
You're a wizard, Peter.
no subject
Oh god. He actually healed her. He'd closed his eyes during the process, not daring to look, but - that's definitely healthy skin now, right? No bruises at all ... This smile is practically glowing. ]
I - I guess I am? Holy shit, that's the coolest thing I've ever done.
no subject
[The excitement in his smile is enough to pull more heat to her cheeks. She loves it when he looks that happy. It's the reason she watched his vlog twice, after all.]
I think you'll have an easier time with spells now. It'll still take a lot of work and practice, but I think you just needed to know what it felt like to call up magic and activate it. The rest...learning the right gestures and words...will be really easy for someone who can memorize chemical compounds and complex math formulas.

Too bad his hands are throbbing now. They're kind of reddened and splotchy, like he'd really scalded them. ]
Yeah, I never have any trouble with that part. That's just science, like you said. I was doing the exact same gestures and everything.
no subject
[She almost wants to hug him, but the moment she notices the marks on his hands, her smile drops right off of her face.]
What's this...?
[Orihime takes his wrist, careful not to touch anything red, and gently turns it to expose his palm.]
That shouldn't have happened. It looks really painful. ...Does it hurt?
no subject
[ Oh. He sort of startles as he looks down at his blotchy hands. She's very careful, so she doesn't hurt him - but he pokes at a red spot like a dumbass, and thus deserves that wince. ]
Whoa. Yeah, it's all sensitive. It looks like a sunburn or something.
