ACCOLADES: Are we seriously supposed to post our own? Isn't that kind of weird? I don't think anyone actually cares about getting an award in chemistry at a school like this.

BIO: Hey, um. I'm Peter Parker. Nice to meet you? Oh man I'm bad at profiles that don't involve, like, tumblr gifs or movie quotes. The coolest thing I've done recently is like. Smuggle in a Lego kit. (It's pretty awesome at least??)

[ Aww yes. Peter does love donuts. ]

Better. Like, still tired? But definitely better.

I'm really glad. You'll be doing backflips on rooftops in no time at all!

[She smiles sincerely, her expression warm as she picks up one of the donuts without 'magic' sprinkles and chomps into it.]

Do you have your spellbook ready? It's a little ugly to look at.

[The hem of her skirt covers her leg just below the knees, and she's wearing long stockings to hide the nasty mark so people don't stop her constantly and ask what happened.]

I could do it now if I really wanted to.

[ But he's being good and resting and all of that. Anyway. He leans to one side, getting out a cheap notebook that he's scribbled all over. ]

Spellbook makes it sounds like it's fancy. But I've got my notes yeah.

[ He's gonna help himself to a donut too. ]

Okay. Then I'll be counting on you!

[She holds the donut in her teeth as she kicks off her shoe, then pulls her knee up to prop her foot on the edge of his bed. Her hands flip her skirt up to her thigh as she rolls down the white stocking.]

[She wasn't kidding. There's a horrible mottled bruise that covers her entire shin, red and purple in five-inch-thick alternating bands, all the way to her ankle. It looks painful. She has others, but nothing as severe as this, which is why she chose it. The sight alone might help him find the motivation he needs.]

[Now that her injury is unmasked, she sits back and eats more of her donut.]

Okay. Ready!

[ Oh god. Peter sort of winces looking at it, just a little bit horrified. ]

-- What the heck happened?

[ And how is she so casual about it? ]

Hit and run.

[She just smiles and shrugs, like 'what can you do?' before finishing off the donut. It doesn't really look like the sort of bruise someone gets from a car, since those bands wrap all the way around.]

Normally I'd say not to worry about it, but worrying might help with your casting. If you can fix it, I'd sleep a lot better!

[ Yeah uh what the heck. ]

Dude, that's not what getting hit by a car looks like. I know what that looks like okay.

[It didn't show up until after the car hit, so what else could it be?]

Maybe your bruises just healed before you got a chance to see it like this?

[ He shakes his head pretty firmly. ]

It should all be from one side. Not around your leg. This looks more like you were grabbed.

[She looks at her leg again and frowns. He has a point, it does look like that. She rests her hands on her knees, thinking back.]

It did surprise me. I thought I was just frozen in shock and couldn't move. But it happened so quickly I don't really remember. I didn't see anything grab me. It would have to be pretty big, ne?

Yeah. Like ... something with huge hands. Or claws, maybe.

[ He reaches down, delicately placing his own hand down over the marks. Comparing the size of his hand to the spacing of the lines. ]

[There's a touch more color in her cheeks as she shifts her gaze to Peter, then back to his hand. She holds herself still to let him finish examining her. He's right, it does look a little like a big hand.]

Come to think of it, it felt like my foot was caught in something when I drowned in the pool, but I didn't see anything. I thought it might just be some plastic or netting. That's weird...

Do you think it's possible something grabbed you? Something invisible?

[ He removes his hand after a moment, flipping to his notes on healing instead. ]

Yes, it's definitely possible. I'm just not sure what could do something like that, or why it would want to.

[But she has a sinking, sickening feeling that she does know, and she really wishes she didn't.]

It's a little hard to gather evidence, I guess.

Yeah, for sure. How do you even find something that's invisible?

If it happens again, I'll try to pay attention. I can feel what someone's soul is like, so if I can at least identify what it feels like, I'll know a general direction where it can be found.

[ He blinks at that. ]

What, really? Is it like Maya's ability?

It's not quite as precise, I don't think. She was able to hear all six members of the Shun Shun Rikka. Mine is more...like recognizing a fingerprint, except it's souls or spiritual power. That night you got attacked, I knew you were on the roof because I was familiar with what your soul signature feels like. If you went missing, I could find you.

[She smiles, and reaches for another donut.]

That's my true Flame. Everyone else just thinks it's the healing part of the Shun Shun Rikka.

Huh. That's pretty cool, then. Probably good if someone can track me down when bad stuff happens.

[ Here, he's got his notebook open to his healing notes. Basic bruise removal spells... ]

Mm! I'll watch out for you.

[She smiles and shoves her worries aside. It could be anything, really. Ghosts have been popping up all over. It might even be Ginshu stalking her for all she knows, so she shouldn't automatically assume the worst.]

Do you have a Flame? Or is everything the result of the Blight spider?

[ They have been dealing with a lot of them, for sure. He pauses a bit at that question, uncertain. ]

You know what, I don't actually know. I never had any signs of anything until the spider bit me. And it was definitely Blighted. I got sick for a week and nearly died.

Scary...! Hmmm...maybe it's your quick healing. We can try some basic training to see if we can activate any radiance. If you can do that, then you might be a Candle.

Well lemme try the healing first. Those bruises look horrible.

[ He's gonna try the very first level of bruise healing here! Just a few precise hand gestures, and placing a hand back on the wounded spot ...

Y-yeah...

[She quiets to let him concentrate, watching his movements, wincing when he touches her leg. She feels the warmth from his palm, but little else.]

Maybe it's too big. Do you want to try it on a smaller one?

[ Yeah there's nothing magical happening here. He rubs at the back of his neck, uncertain. ]

It should have done something. But if you think a smaller bruise will work...
