Right! It's a brand new skill, one that can't be used with just your super smarts or your super strength. It's probably frustrating. So, we just need to choose spells that you actually NEED. Learning to levitate a coffee table is useless if you can pick it up with just one finger.

What kind of spell would be something you'd try to cast with desperation?

[The hem of her skirt covers her leg just below the knees, and she's wearing long stockings to hide the nasty mark so people don't stop her constantly and ask what happened.]

[She wasn't kidding. There's a horrible mottled bruise that covers her entire shin, red and purple in five-inch-thick alternating bands, all the way to her ankle. It looks painful. She has others, but nothing as severe as this, which is why she chose it. The sight alone might help him find the motivation he needs.]

[Now that her injury is unmasked, she sits back and eats more of her donut.]
